Children’s books are more fun to read when I like them too!

I try to read to my kids every night. Between homeschooling, sports and bath-time, I often end up reading only one book to all four kids as we cuddle on the couch. My children range in age from preschool to grade-school, and it can be hard to find  a story that engages the older two, without boring my younger two. I also like it if the books keep me entertained so I don’t have to skip pages when they aren’t looking!

A sweet story about two unlikely friends…

I was recently given the opportunity to review a copy of Aileen Stewart’s newest book, Quack and Daisy. A sweet story about two unlikely friends, trying to work out their differences. Set on a farm, a kitten and duckling meet between the barn and a pond to show readers that it’s okay to be friends with those that may seem different from yourself. Quack and Daisy also learn not to give in to peer pressure; an important lesson at any age.

I sat down with my son to read through Quack and Daisy, and he was immediately drawn in by the cheerful illustrations throughout the book. As a new reader, he isn’t able to read the story himself, but he enjoyed listening while I read and looking through the pictures afterwards. My kids are looking forward to even more adventures with Quack and Daisy  by doing the FREE activities that go along with the story, available from the author herself at FunwithAileen.

Grab some cozy blankets, a copy of the book, and cuddle up with your kiddos for story time!

Quack and Daisy is available for purchase through Amazon:

And as both a paperback and e-book through Tate Publishing.
