Hop like a Frog Gross Motor Skills Preschool Activity
Spring is a great time to learn about frogs! We went to our local library this week and guess what? They have two tanks at the front desk; one for tadpoles and one for frogs.
My kids were interested enough that we decided to make frogs the theme of our homeschool preschool this week.
During story time we read the book Froggy goes to the Doctor and like every other Froggy book, my kids giggled through the reading of the story. For independent reading time I scored a new Leapfrog learning set on discount at the book store for letter tracing and reading for my five-year old.
My three-year old read her froggy themed Toddler Milestones books with her Leap Reader Junior book pal Scout.
Frog Preschool Gross Motor Skills
My kids love to play pretend and of course this week they wanted to be frogs. We went outside for some fun gross motor skills play using this free printable. Just cut out around the frog faces and place them on the ground a few feet apart.
Kids hop like frogs over the frog faces you set out on the ground. You can have froggy races, jumping contests, or just let them have fun hopping over the cute froggy faces!
