Holiday Hams do not need to be hard to make. This easy Cranberry Glazed Ham will delight you with how easy it is to make as well as how tasty it is!

The holiday season is upon us and I’m pretty sure most of us think of Ham when we think of Christmas or general holiday dinner, right? I mean, turkey is for Thanksgiving but I will admit that I’ve been known to eat a turkey for Christmas as well.

Honey glazed ham is fantastic, but let’s face it, it’s old news! But what about Cranberry glaze? Oh my!

What an odd combination that our taste buds just simply LOVE together – salty and sweet. So whether it is honey or cranberry, we get that sweetness that so perfectly pairs with the salty ham.

Why Do I Bake A Spiral Ham if it is Already Cooked?

The purpose of baking a pre-cooked ham is to raise the internal temperature of the ham so it is nice and warm for you to eat. The last thing you want to do is microwave it because it will destroy your perfect little ham.

One nice thing is that if you are in jam and need to shorten the baking time, that is ok! Given that is is pre-cooked, it can be as short as you want so long as you are ok eating a sightly cooler ham. And let’s be honest, ham tastes great warm OR cold.

How to Store Cranberry Glazed Ham

It is always best to store leftovers, ham included, in an airtight storage container. I like to use glass containers because then I can heat them up right in the container!

This ham will last at least 3-4 days (most likely longer but I never like to push it) if properly stored.

Feel free to whip up some new glaze and “re-glaze” it when you warm it up!

Heat over low heat, stirring until the sugar is dissolved.

Add spiral sliced ham in a baking pan or casserole dish.

Spoon 1/2 cup cranberry glaze over the ham.
