I love making I-Spy ornaments inspired by books with my kids and this years we’re revisiting an old favorite, Mouse’s First Christmas by Lauren Thompson. I first read this cute little story as a board book when my now tween daughter was just a baby. It became a favorite for our whole family as the years went by. Mouse’s First Christmas isn’t the only book in this series. Mouse also enjoys his first snow, first spring, and many more.

Here’s the fun part! While your child listens to you read Mouse’s First Christmas they can shake the ornament to find the different objects they hear in the story. Can they spy the same Christmas objects as Mouse?
